Everyone knows Hard Rust is a complete bastard. After all, it says so in his profile. Hard is completely amoral with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

This last Sunday, however, an uneasy state fell upon him and he was forced to deal with something totally alien to his being. It was during The Sexiest Awards ceremony, an annual event held to honor the community of SL pornography machinima for their work. The ceremony has all the trappings of a Hollywood awards show, including a Red Carpet, formal attire, hosts (the lovely and talented Fang Aries, Owner of the Clit Pit, and the ever sexy Dirtylilpoet), live music numbers (Noma Falta) and performance acts (Kai Barineaux and the Viva la Glam dancers of Virtual Burlesque), and of course, awards for categories like Best Film and Best Actor, as well as Best Anal and Best Oral Sex.

If you've never watched any SL Porn Machinima, I suggest heading over to SL Porn Tube and checking some out. There are a lot of very good movies.

Emmanuelle Jameson, who is not only the defacto leader of the SL Porn movement, but also one of the sweetest people you will ever meet, pulls this event together each year and turns it into a classy, well-run event. Last year I helped Emma with the event by organizing the judging committee, an un-envyable task that this year fell to poor Pixie Rain, who did a far better job than I.

The Awards proceeded smoothly and professionally, with Fang and Poet's sexy voices reading the nominees and announcing the winners. All the nominations were well deserved, and I am sure the judges had a very hard time deciding on the winners. There were some amazing advances in SL porn movies over 2011, both technically and artistically. You can view the list of winners on Emma's blog.

I was up for several awards, and was very honored to have made it as a nominee considering how old and out of date my movies looked compared to the movies being made today. Like I said, there was some very stiff (pun intended) competition this year, so I was really surprised when I actually won the award for Best Anal scene. Technically, Candace Flossberg should have gotten an award, too, since it was her ass being fucked in "Serving it up Hot!".

Then I got an even bigger surprise. Near the end of the ceremony Fang and Poet announced a special award. One that was not on the agenda. Fang told a touching story of her early days in SL and how she fondly remembered her visits to Hard Alley. Then she and Poet presented me with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Normally, Hard Rust loves to brag and boast and sing his own praises, but at this moment I could not think of anything to say, other than "Thank you".

Over the last few weeks I have been greatly humbled by the number of people that have rallied to support Hard Alley, and this award was like the icing on the cake.

In February, I will once again be producing SL porn movies. I have several projects ready to shoot, and I'm excited about them. I will have to work extremely hard for my work to not suck, compared to some of the movies being produced today, but I plan on giving it a try. I'll also be continuing to improve Hard Alley and give people a fun place to play out their naughty fantasies.

Lifetime Achievement doesn't stop. It goes on for a lifetime. It's my job to continue to be as deserving of this award as I can.

Merry Christmas! After the success of our first Hardcore Hunt, the lovely Naiya Valeska has outdone herself by organizing a XXX-Mas hunt that's even bigger and better! Naiya has worked her ass off to get this hunt ready for you and it all begins DECEMBER 17, 2011!

We will be hosting a HUGE kickoff party/Christmas Party on the 17th. The party starts at 6PM SL time at BarbieDollz, home of Tempestuous (one of the Hunt Designers who makes some amazing jewelry), and moves to Hard Core (located in beautiful Hard Alley) at 8PM. The party won't stop until the last person passes out!

Now, I have decided to share some of my always wonderful advice with you, my dear readers (all 3 of you). You don't have to take my advice, but your Second Lives will be sooo much happier if you do. My advice is for both the men and women of SL. I'll start with the men.

First off men, don't be a douche bag. Just because you can log off when things get heated and jump onto an anonymous alt, doesn't mean you should. If you leave someone hanging because you couldn't man-up and deal with whatever situation made you panic, then you are a douche bag. Don't lead someone on, letting them think you are really into them and want more than just a quick fuck. There's NOTHING wrong with just wanting sex, just make sure you are up front with the girl and tell her that's all there is to it. Trust me, girls in SL enjoy sex, too. You don't have to lie to them or lead them on to get in their pixel panties. ADVICE FOR MEN: BE HONEST!

Women, have some self-esteem! While I know that a lot of women who play SL do have low self-esteem in RL for whatever reason, SL is a clean slate! It's where you can be a self-confident, proud, and strong woman! ALL of you have this ability within you, even if you don't see it in yourself. Each of you, in your own way, is a full, complete person on your own, and you are not defined by how others see you, or if you have a man (or woman) in your life. Men are turned off by women who constantly put themselves down and belittle their own self-worth, just as they are turned on by strong, confident women. If you find yourself saying, "no one likes me", then THAT is probably why! ADVICE FOR WOMEN: BE CONFIDENT!

Now, if we can just get the thoughtful, honest men together with the strong, confident women in a place where they can explore their new outlook on (SL) life. Oh! I know! Hard Alley is the perfect place! True love has blossomed there before!

On July 26, 2011, Hard Alley turns 5 years old. The Alley was SL's first roleplaying sex site and pioneered the urban forced fantasy genre. For a lot of people, Hard Alley was their introduction to SL sex sims, and through the years it has been the inspiration for many other good quality sites. But what is Hard Alley, really?

Hard Alley is fantasy. First and foremost, it's a place where like-minded individuals can come together in a safe environment and explore their sexual fantasies. No one is really "forced" to come to Hard Alley, and no one is forced to participate. They come because they want to and because they enjoy it.

Hard Alley is perversion. There are many themed areas around Hard Alley, providing settings for many different types of sexual fantasies to be played out. Public sex, gang bangs, strippers, and more await the adventurous. Are there limits? Yes, of course there are. Hard Alley does not and will never condone under-age sexual activity. Yes, I know many of you have thought to yourself, "Hard Rust is so cool. What must it be like to be him?"

Here, for your benefit, is some insight into the life of everyone's favorite Sleaze King.

First off, my profile says it all. I'm a completely rotten, amoral bastard with no redeeming qualities. And that's my good side. I am rotten to the core and proud of it. You won't find me cuddling meeroos or getting in touch with my feelings.

Second, I like sex. I like it hard and rough. I take what I want and don't ask permission.

The major benefit to being so completely bad is that no one expects anything good of me. I don't have to worry about letting anyone down. There is absolutely nothing bad I can do that would surprise anyone. It's just more or less expected.

So, now that you know WHO I am... here is what it's like to BE me!

I get lots of IMs. Constantly. I usually have about a dozen going at any one time. Mostly tag requests from people in Hard Alley. I spend a lot of time managing the groups, and I have a lot of groups to run. Many more IMs are from girls wanting to work as strippers or escorts in the Alley. After that comes a lot of general "Hey Hard Hows it going?" IMs. Honestly, I spend a LOT of time in IMs, but rarely have enough time to devote to any of them properly. So if you've ever been in an IM with me and felt I wasn't giving you my complete attention, I probably couldn't.

I spend lots of time fixing things and cleaning stuff up. Sex toys break and need to be reset. Sex toys don't always put the balls away. People drop things that don't get returned. If you happen to see me in the Alley TPing from one place to another quickly, I'm cleaning stuff up. I usually spend this time sending out late notices to renters whose rentals have expired.

I have to help host events at Hard Core. Each night we have a two hour party at the club and I try to be there to spam announcements and bring people in. I try to make everyone feel welcome which means constantly looking for new arrivals. Being in the middle of the club means I'm getting slammed with IMs (see above). Between the IMs and trying to keep up with greeting people coming in, I have no time to read Local Chat, so if I miss something you say to me in Local, that's why.

I spend a lot of time thinking. Mostly trying to come up with new ways to improve Hard Alley and make it more enjoyable for everyone. I've also been spending a good amount of time coming up with some ideas for porn videos.

I fuck when I can. Yes, even with all that going on, I try to make time for myself. Unfortunately, it's not as often as I'd like, and definitely not as often as the hundreds of women in SL who want to ride my cock would like. Trust me, I am trying to get around to each of you. See Above for reasons why I haven't yet.

This is what it's like to be Hard Rust 75% of the time. A lot of work. A little fun.

The other 25%? That's the times when I'm caught up on the work, I'm not in IMs, no parties need hosting, and I am completely and utterly alone.

I was lucky. Wednesday, April 27, was unbelievable.

We had already had a couple of Tornado Warnings as early as 6am that morning, but we kind of blew them off. I was sleepy and I grew up in the South so Tornado Warnings were not terribly alarming to me. For the last few years, most tornadoes had tracked north or south of us and 1989 was the last time one hit close (just a mile from my office, it wiped out my father-in-law's apartment building and killed nearly 20 people). I had grown complacent and barely talked myself into getting up to check the weather reports.

By the time I had the TV on, the storm had already passed but had done some major damage to the south of us. At this point, the TV Weather people were saying we were in the clear until around 3-4pm, when they expected the worst of the storm to hit.

Schools were delayed a couple of hours so I stayed home from work and took my son to school around 10am. The skies were already looking strange with that greenish glow that anyone who lives in tornado prone areas would recognize.

An hour later, they announced school would be letting out just after noon because of the weather. I finished what work I could and went to get my son. By the time I got there, we were under another Tornado Warning and as it is school policy not to release kids under a warning, I and a hundred other parents sat in the parking lot, waiting. The sky to the west was pitch black. That wasn't good. The rain started off heavy and got worse. Within minutes it was so thick I could not see the car in front of me. The hail started to pound the car so hard I thought the windows would break. I could not see it at the time, but trees (big trees) were snapping and even coming up by the roots all around us. Ten minutes later it cleared up and fifteen minutes after that they canceled the warning and school let out.

It wasn't a tornado, but only because it never touched down.

The rest of Alabama was not as lucky as I was and those students and other parents were. Tornadoes ripped through nearly every part of the state and killed and destroyed on a massive scale. I lived through the 1974 Super Outbreak, and this was worse.

Other than hail damage to the car and roof and some fallen trees, our biggest problem was having no power for five days, since the tornadoes decided to destroy over 80 power transmission lines feeding north Alabama.

With no power, stores could not open. People could not get gas or food. The water treatment plant was on a generator, so water was limited. All phone lines (land or cell) were out, so finding out if your relatives and friends were okay was nearly impossible. The local radio stations were our only way of knowing what was going on and how bad things really were.

It was a recipe for disaster and chaos.

Instead, it was one of our finest hours.

Within hours of the storms and the blackout, grocery stores were opening back up, running on generators, staying open as long as they could to allow people the chance to stock up on food and water. Thousands of volunteers from all over the state and other states began to arrive and help out. Power was restored to the badly overburdened hospitals and the water treatment plants. The radio stations kept everyone informed as to where they could get food and gas and when power might be restored and where to bring donations and where to go volunteer. Neighbor helped neighbor with whatever they needed to get by.

Slowly, we are recovering. Last night the power came back on at our house. Tomorrow I'll go back to work. For me, things will be almost back to normal.

I was lucky. Thousands of people in Alabama and several other states were not.

The State of the Sim

I thought I'd talk about the current state of the Alley and some of the events going on. I've been out of game a lot since early March and haven't been as active in the Alley as I should have been. Real life is also getting very busy now but I am going to try to be in game stirring up trouble as much as I can. Last night we had the first Cycle of Sin party and it was a huge success! The party started at Stroker Serpentine's Eros and then moved to Tempest Jewel's Barbiedollz, and ended up at my own club, Hard Core! The sims were packed and there was lots of nudity (of course) and sex (openly at Hard Core, in IMs everyplace else, I'm sure)!

Huge thanks go out to my partners in crime, Stroker and Tempest, and extra licks for Tempest for filling in as DJ at the last minute during the Eros party! DJ Dreams and DJ Dade (formerly DJ Shade) were also invaluable for keeping the crowd pumped all through the night!

Announcing Our Next Project!

The next big project from Hard Candy Productions will be an on-going series called, "The Hung and the Restless". It will be a soap opera style production with a main running plot and several side plots, and a cliffhanger ending each episode. There will be plenty of sex, scandals, drama, and more sex.

Through this episodic format, we will be able to use more actors and actresses through the introduction of new characters and side plots. We hope to not only use existing celebrity pornstars in guest roles, but also introduce the community to many new performers.

OMG It's a LOVE story!

The first movie produced under the Hard Candy Production label (teamed with Ainsley Wifefly's Sick Bubblegum company) was released, appropriately, on Valentine's Day! The movie is a called "Life Goes On: A Love Story", and its the tale of a guy that gets dumped by his girl and re-discovers that it's not the end of the world.

I know what most of you are saying... "OMG Hard! Why did you do a LOVE story? Where's the hard core, heartless sex we've come to expect from you?". I have to admit, I was skeptical myself when Ainsley first approached me and asked me to shoot and edit the movie. However, the story (written by the movie's star, Groove Taurus, and Ainsley) sounded like a good one, and the cast was full of people I was excited to be working with, so I agreed.

A project this big involved several days of shooting, which wasn't that hard because it all involved some really hot actresses getting naked and fucking! *grins* It was strange shooting a movie that didn't star Candace (although she has a cameo appearance in the Biker Bar scene), but working with Roxie and Allison (Elum) and Liz and Joey and Zoey (and Ainsley as the bartender) was a wonderful experience. Groove and EJ were great too, always cumming on cue. LOL!

The most interesting part of working on this movie was Ruff Zepp and Ainsley's voice acting! It added a new dimension to the story and turned a good movie into a great one! As a video editor in RL, I am used to using narration to cut the timing on a video, so this made editing sooo much easier! The voice actors did a fantastic job, too. Very professional.

It turned out to be a great experience and I really like the final movie. Thanks to all the cast and crew that made it possible!

Candace and I have started our own Adult Film Production Company. It's called Hard Candy Productions and we currently have several ideas we are working on. We are generally slower at producing films than most other outfits, but running Hard Alley takes the majority of my time and we'd rather take our time and put out good quality movies than rush out a bunch of crap.

The School Girls Gone Bad Detention Facility Anniversary

This week marks the 4th anniversary of the School Girls Gone Bad Detention Facility.

I built the School in Jan, 2007, about six months after I started Hard Alley. At that time Hard Alley had become a fairly big success and was at the top of the Popular Places list. I was hoping to prove to myself that Hard Alley had not just been a fortunate accident, and that I could create another site that was as successful as the Alley.

After a lot of thinking and searching to find an idea that no one else had tried, I settled on the idea of a "Reform School for Girls". The idea came from my RL Boss' daughter, who was in reform school at the time. She was a hottie and I could imagine her in there, being traded for cigarettes. Of course, school girl outfits are a big plus, too. Cheerleaders, sex with teachers, spankings, abusive guards... it all started to add up to a really great idea.

They must be bad, or they wouldn't be here.

At the time, I was married in game to Ananisa Fitzcarraldo, and she was after me to build something on her land for her to run. Since I didn't have room for the new idea on the Alley's land, I built it on Ana's. The initial build was more prison than school, with barred cells and detention rooms and places for guards to strip-search visitors.

It started slow, but I knew it was an idea that would catch on, so I kept working on it and improving it, and more and more people started to come. It wasn't long before it had as much traffic, if not more, than Hard Alley. The proof of its success was, as with Hard Alley, the number of copy-cat sites that began to spring up around SL.

I lost the School to Ana in our divorce and I have had very little to do with it since then, but it is still there and people are still enjoying it. I re-created it in my own sim as the Hard Alley Reform School, which is closer to my original vision than SGGBDF is today.

Today is Election Day in Hard Alley! We are voting a new Mayor into office. It's been a brutal campaign filled with all the cheating and corruption you would expect at Hard Alley, but the campaigning is over and it's time for the citizens of our fair sim to cast their votes!

I was very disappointed, but unfortunately not surprised, when the bitching started even before the ceremony was over. Crying and whining and moaning about unfairness and pouting and quitting the group all smacks of immaturity and unprofessionalism.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe you didn't deserve to win? That maybe someone else created a better movie? Duh! Suck that ego in for a moment and let that thought sink in. I'll wait.

Do you want to win an award? Then work hard and be innovative and try to improve and add something new to the community. Otherwise just don't enter your movie. Then no one can tell you that you aren't the best.

In other words, "Grow Up." No one likes a sore loser. This community is sick of the whining and drama.

To end on a positive note, I would like to quote some of the comments the judges made. I will not say which judge said what, but I think you should all hear what they had to say.

2010... 2011...

A lot has happened over the last year. Major changes in my life and in Hard Alley. Anyone that knows me already knows what all has happened this year, so I won't bore anyone with it. Instead, I want to talk about 2011.

In January, Candace and I will return to making SL porn movies. We just haven't had the time to do any over the last few months, but we are looking forward to resuming production over the next week or so. We have several projects in various stages of development and are looking forward to working with many of the SL porn movie community.

Hard Core will also be rocking as always with our fantastic DJs! Their eclectic style and variety of music means that the party is always fresh at Hard Core. Club Manager Trixianna has some great ideas for events coming up, and by popular demand we'll be resuming our Slut Prize givaways soon!

Roleplaying in Hard Alley continues to improve, but its still not where I'd like it to be. I'd love to see more short, sexy scenes played out in the dark corners and abandoned buildings. The addition of a drug den and brothel will hopefully lead to some additional RP situations, and the new biker gang is very heavy into RP.

I will also be attempting to revive DCS combat in Hard Alley, with street gangs fighting it out on regular occasions. Stay tuned for more on that.

In light of the former Mayor of Hard Alley embezzling the town's treasury and sneaking off in the middle of the night (I hear he is somewhere in Thailand now enjoying the company of several small animals), Hard Alley will be holding new elections soon. As before, I expect these elections to be full of cheating, bribery, and sex scandals. This will be a no-holds barred election where anything goes and anyone can win.

In May, Candace and I will hopefully celebrate being a couple for one year. Although we had known each other for over a year, it wasn't until last May that we really found each other and realized that we should be together. Every day I am with her is better than the last. She makes me happy. We've both lost friends because of our relationship (instead of being happy for us, some people just de-friended us instead), but that only made the bonds we share with each other and our true friends even closer.

July 2011 will mark Hard Alley's 5th Anniversary. Looking at the list of SL Sex Sites, I could not find a single one that has been around longer. The sex sites that preceeded it, like Heaven and Hell, and The Sex Club, are all long gone. Hard Alley is still going strong and only gets better over time because it is full of hot sexy people who know how to have fun!

My Thoughts on Drama

Drama is going to happen. Fuck it.

Who are the players in a drama?

The Combatants: These are the primary cause of the drama, dragging their arguments out for everyone to enjoy.

The Bystanders: These are the people that get caught in the crossfire and are dragged into the drama unwittingly.

The Observers: The people who are not part of the drama but can't turn away from it.

The Gangbangers: The ones who aren't part of the initial drama, but jump into it, taking sides and making it a much bigger mess.

The Arbitrators: Those who try to bring the drama to a close. Usually neutral.

Bitches need to be put in their place!

SL is like RL. It has drama. Not everyone is going to get along with everyone else. Personalities conflict. Some people will like you. Some won't. Realistically, there's no avoiding it. Everyone will be involved directly in drama at some point unless they are completely cut off from all other people.

The question is, how will you handle it?

Are you the Combatant? If so, will you fight to your "dying breath" and never surrender until the other party is beaten and humiliated? Is that a victory to you? Will you decide that the drama is not worth the time you spend on it, and mute and move on? Did you just let the other party "win"?

Putting the Bitch in her place!

If you aren't the Combatant, what role will you play? Gangbanger? Do you feel the need to plunge into the fray and make YOUR feelings heard? Are you that wise, that you feel your arguments will suddenly bring the conflict to closure, or do you just see a good fight and want to be part of it? Do you see friends on both sides and want to be the Arbitrator help them all get along? Will you keep your opinions to yourself and quietly Observe the drama as it unfolds, popcorn in hand?

How you handle drama says more about you than the drama itself. In most cases, all the original arguments are lost as everything devolves into "he said, she said" arguments that always go nowhere. By the time the dust settles, no one really cares, no one has "won", and everyone is left with a bad taste in their mouth. Think about the part you play. Is anyone's SL (or RL) going to be a better place because of it?

I've had my share of drama. I'm not proud of how I've handled it. I hope to live and learn and do better next time. Only time will tell if I am successful. (for those of you reading the captions under the pictures, it's a joke!)

Married at Last!

Halloween is a big event at Hard Alley. I've been decorating the sim and getting ready for several Halloween events. The lovely and talented Summer Seale has provided me with some of her wonderful decorations and they add a lot to the atmosphere. Some of the events we have planned include the Annual Hard Alley Costume Party at the Strip Club and Ghost Story Night at the Cemetary. Yes, some poor girl, obviously not in her right mind, is willing to marry me. Yes, its been months since I blogged. I've been busy. Hard Alley is still there. I'm still a rotten old bastard.

Hard Alley just celebrated its 4th Anniversary in Second Life. For those of you who are not familiar with Second Life, 4 years is like 20 years in Real Life. We've been running a full sim for over a year now and there's no sign of it ending anytime soon. There are still a lot of perverts out there that are having fun and enjoying all the sick twisted fantasies that Hard Alley has to offer.

So what has happened in the months since Takashi was elected Mayor of Hard Alley? A lot!

We've added a drug den inside an abandoned pharmacy. Rodison, the Hard Alley Drug Lord, has moved his band of sick junkies into it. These drug addicts will do anything for a fix... anything!

Trixianna Saenz has taken the position (that sounds so dirty) of Hard Core Club Manager. She's got DJs lined up for every day of the week and the club is rocking out every night, usually starting around 7pm SL time.

Tempest Jewel and I broke up, but she has found her true love and is now married to him. She's also going to be DJing at Hard Alley once a week. Check out her wedding photos on the Hard Alley Flickr site!

Candace Flossberg and I have gotten together. Yes, there are still women foolish enough to put up with me. She's smart, she's sexy, and she's willing to let me fuck anyone I want. The Mayor of Hard Alley

This month we held elections to determine who would be the first Mayor of Hard Alley. Interest in it was much higher than I thought, with over a dozen candidates in the running, although the field dropped to 10 by election day. We had candidates who were long time Alley residents as well as people from all over SL and some who had never been to Hard Alley.

The 2 week long campaign period was full of cheating, dirty tricks, lies, bribes, and sexual scandal. Promises were made that will never be kept, assasination attempts on candidates were made, and a good time was had by all. During this time, City Hall was constructed near the Reform School (good source of interns!).

Election day itself was more of the same, with bimbo cheerleaders offering blow jobs in return for votes for thier candidate, candidates bribing voters, and other candidates cheating and attempting to trick the voters into voting for them. After 24 hours and several sim resets, the voting booth was closed and nearly 350 votes had been cast. The winner was Takashi Alexseev of the Tea Baggers Party.

Taka was sworn in yesterday in a public ceremony. The following is a transcript of the ceremony and Taka's innaugural address:

Hard Alley: A Retrospective, Part 3

Okay so now I've started something and response is much greater than I expected, and my little Alley was too small to handle the traffic. After all, it kind of ruins the mood if there's a bunch of people standing around when you're supposed to be scared and alone.

I bite the bullet and buy some land adjacent to mine. Now I am paying a monthly land fee. It's not much, but I became very much aware that I am shelling out RL money so other people's pixels can fuck. The Alley grows to about 3 times its original size and I add a sleazy hotel and more alleys. Then I stop thinking two-dimensionally and build down, adding a subway tunnel (that goes absolutely nowhere, of course). Now the Alley has begun to include "themed" areas that add to the fun.

Now the Alley is about a month old, and copy-cat "alleys" are starting to appear. I don't believe any of them lasted for more than a month or two. Once again, traffic increases to the point where I have to buy more land and expand the Alley. I add a filthy Restroom (because we all know that it's every girl's fantasy to be raped in a dirty restroom), and begin to build the Hard Alley Sewer System. These latest additions prove to be extremely popular.

It's not long before I have to expand again, but unfortunately there is no more land for sale in the sim. I search around and find some land in Yulmu near the middle of the sim (to give me room to grow on all sides if needed). I pick up the existing Alley (which is small but still no easy task), and move it to the new sim and begin work on expanding it once again, adding the Hard Core Sex & Strip Club, and a Mall to rent space and help offset the money I'm paying each month.

Hard Core quickly becomes popular and I am forced to learn quickly how to run a club, dealing with hiring dancers and setting up tip jars and realizing that clubs don't run themselves. The Mall starts to fill up and my wallet feels much better and I'm free now to concentrate on building and adding more themed areas.

About this time, several people have become regulars at the Alley, many of whom help out around the place. Jessica becomes my first Cop, patrolling the Alley in a hot little outfit and helping keep griefers at bay (oh yes, griefers had discovered the Alley, which was climbing the Popular Places list higher each day). Susanna, a friend from my previous avatar, was one of my first renters, selling her vampire teeth. And Lil'Bit, who spent most of her time sitting on a dumpster with her friends.

I mention these three people in particular, because they all took inspiration from their time at Hard Alley and went on to create their own sims, Midian City, City of Lost Angels, and Crack Den, respectively. Each of these sims took their inspiration from Hard Alley, but added their own original ideas and today each of them is highly successful.

After several more land purchaces and several other expansions, Hard Alley grew to about 1/4 of a sim, although it seemed much larger. The Alley hit the top of the Popular Places list with just over 50K in traffic (this was before traffic calculations were changed and 50K was about as high as it went). Unfortunately, being on the Popular Places list brought lots of noobs and lots of griefers, neither of which was good for business. My refusal to prohibit noobs was the reason Lil'Bit left to create Crack Den. I still believe that today's noob can be tomorrow's RPer, and they will remember who was nice to them when they were starting, and indeed I have people tell me all the time that they started their SL lives in Hard Alley and we were one of the few places that treated them well.

Hard Alley kept growing and expanding slowly over the next year. During that time I also created the School Girls Gone Bad Detention Facility. I wanted to prove to myself that the Alley's popularity wasn't just a fluke and that I could repeat my success. It took a while to come up with the idea, but eventually I fell back to my own fantasy about my boss's sexy daughter who was in the D-Home being traded for cigarettes. That was all I needed and the School was built and became a hit very quickly. At times it has even been more popular than Hard Alley and is still a hot place to play.

Hard Alley: A Retrospective, Part 2

So here I was, on my third avatar, ready to escape the world of drama and settle into a nice cozy skybox. With no job or relationship, I had plenty of free time to wander SL looking for booty calls. And that is what I did for the first few weeks. I just drifted from free sex site to free sex site fucking as I went. I returned a few times to old familiar places, but big rooms full of pose balls eventually grew boring and I began to look for other avenues of excitement.

That was when I stumbled across a group called Forced Fantasy. It sounded fun, so joined it. For about a week, the group chat stayed silent, but my curiosity grew, so one day I popped into group chat and asked where the group played. That is when I found out that the group had no place to play, which explained why no one was playing.

That's when I started to think about where I would have like to have played, if the group had indeed had a place to play. A dark, secluded alleyway in a dirty, run-down city. The kind of place where no one cares if they hear a cry for help. It had to be an alley. No one ever drags their victim into a shopping mall or a shoe store. They drag them into an alley.

I booted up Photoshop and started working on textures. Starting off with Bricks and adding graffiti and torn posters and locked doors and shattered windows... In an hour, I had enough textures to line the walls of my skybox (which was small and fit onto a 512m First Land parcel). After adding concrete to the floor and stars to the ceiling (you can't have a good forced fantasy in the sunny afternoon), I set out a few of my favorite sex pose sets in strategic places.

Now the alley was all done. I set the land for public access and started to turn on its ability to be found in Search when I realised it needed a name.

This was pretty easy. I had chosen the name Hard Rust just because I liked the sound of it, but now it lent itself to my new creation... Hard Alley. Another few minutes in Photoshop to create a street sign/logo and I was all set to open it to the public!

The first thing I did was send a message to the owner of the Forced Fantasy group. I offered them my skybox alley as a free play area for the group. No strings attached.

They turned me down. I still have no idea why.

Even without the official endorsement of the Forced Fantasy group, I figured 2-3 people a week might pop in and use the place. Needless to say I was surprised when I was getting 2-3 people an hour. What was even more surprising was that 90% of my guests were women! There weren't enough men to keep them satisfied! I knew I had to do something to lure more men to the site or it was all going to go bust. Out of sheer luck, one of the women that came to the site, Cathy, offered to help me out. Cathy stayed in Hard Alley every minute she could, fucking any man that teleported in. Within a week, the site had a steady balance of men and women playing, and I was beset with my next problem...

Hard Alley was too small.

Someone got me thinking tonight about Hard Alley and how it all started. For those of you who are interested, keep reading. The rest of you should go surf for some porn or something.

Hard Rust was actually the third avie for me. The first avie, Adrian, had found his way into SL by way of a friend who quit SL two days later, but not before showing me how to get to The Sex Club, one of the more popular hangouts at the time. Even though I was a complete noob (noob hair, noob clothes, noob skin), the dancers there were nice and welcomed me in. Within a week I was dating the Club Manager. She bought me a nice 3000L skin and made me a stripper at the club. Thus began my long association with strip clubs and sex sites in SL.

Within 6 months, I had to abandon Adrian due to numerous indiscretions. It was time to start fresh without a dozen women hunting me down to rip my nuts off.

So I created Zoom. I always loved the name Zoom. Zoom started off with nice clothes and nice skin and prim hair. And what was the first thing Zoom did? He went back to The Sex Club. Upon teleporting in, he was approached by two women, a brunette and a blonde. The brunette offered him a job stripping and told him that all employees were allowed to fuck the blonde as a job benefit. Seeing as I had no means of income at the time, and that the blonde was completely hot, I accepted. Unfortunately, that relationship ended, and once again I decided to abandon my avie Zoom and start life anew. This time, I would avoid relationships. This time, I would avoid any noteriety. This time, I would quietly remain anonymous and all would be well.

So I created Hard Rust.

I bought an island.

Hard Alley is fast approaching its 3rd anniversary and in that time it has grown from a 10x30 meter skybox to an entire sim of decadance and perversion. Nearly all my sick fantasies can be played out in one area of the Alley or another, and I am slowly running out of ideas for new ones.

For me, Hard Alley has always been more about having fun than anything else. I've tried to make a place where people can play and enjoy hanging out. I want the people that visit the Alley to feel welcome and free to explore their fantasies without fear of harassment or judgement.

Most of all, I want Hard Alley to be a place where friends come together and talk and laugh and enjoy each other's company. I want it to be their home as much as it is mine.

Moving into our fourth year, we face several challenges. The Lindens are not going to make it easy on adult sites. Restricting the ability for people to find us in Search, along with strictly enforcing age verification (I am against under-age sexual play, but this will kill many of the alt characters that people use in Hard Alley because their mains are too "respectable). The increased cost of a full sim is a challenge, but for now we're doing okay. Only time will tell if we are able to sustain enough revenue to keep going.

The biggest challenge, though, is keeping things fresh. I have done my best over the last three years to keep changing and adding to the Alley enough that it always has something new to offer. I am fortunate to be surrounded by the best bunch of perverts in Second Life, and they are always inspiring me to do better.

A large part of Hard Alley's continued success lies with my Club Manager and best friend, Megz Ling. She is the heart of Hard Core and keeps the place rocking and full of life. She is the magnet that draws the zany cast of characters that populate my bar stools each night. I can't express how much I appreciate all she does for me and the Alley.

Did I mention the zany cast of characters? Skat, Taka, Calie, Zach, Mega, Mal, Biancajade, Sarajane, Viv, Allie, Calvin, Yulia, and so many others keep me cracking up with their wild antics and distrubing humor.

The School Girls Gone Bad Detention Facility celebrates its 2 year anniversary this month. It's hard to believe that its been that long but it has. And in that time its been re-built four times (original build, build in new sim, re-build after Ana accidently deleted it all, and re-build into its current design). For over a year it was more popular than Hard Alley, and is still registering students every day. Those students are learning their three r's... reading, 'riting, and rough sex.

Of course, the School has evolved much differently than I had envisioned. I expected it to be a "women in chains" kind of place where girls would be traded for cigarettes and the guards would have their way with the "students". While some of this goes on daily, the majority of role play at the school has been less sexual. Oh well, as long as they are having fun. :)

I don't spend as much time at the School as I do the Alley, but that's only because the School doesn't need me there as much. Most nights I am faced with this question. Business or Pleasure? As I dance at Hard Core, or wander the Alley, the lovely ladies that dance for me constantly catch my eye. But they are hard at work, earning tips and keeping customers happy. Wouldn't it be wrong to pull them from the stage and drag them off to my private chambers to have my way with them?

Back from Vacation

I've been out of Second Life for over a month and now I'm back.

Hard Alley survived without me, which is good, but I can see that SL in general has declined. Not as many people playing, economy is tanking just like RL, and lag is everywhere (not just Hard Alley). I expect the Lindens to do something really creative to solve these problems, like raise prices. Hey! Why fix problems when you can just suck money out of people?

But anyway, I am back in game and ready to reclaim the title of Sleaze King. I've let Hard Core turn into Hello Kitty Klub and it needs to get back to its roots: Anything goes, the naughtier the better. I want the sounds of sex in the club to drown out the sounds of sex from the Gang Bang Room below.

Most strippers quit after just a few weeks. Why? Because they quickly realize that the sex industry is not for them, or they have hooked up with a customer and no longer need to work to get clothes.

But some strippers... the best ones... stick with it. Again, why? Some enjoy the money. Some enjoy the social aspects of always meeting new people. And some do it as a form of escape from relationships and responsibilities that have grown to be too much like Real Life.

Speaking of strippers, I should mention Mary Baphomet is still officially a stripper at Hard Core, although she rarely graces us with a dance. Mostly she stands on the dance floor and allows us to bask in her presence. Hail Mary! But when Mary DOES dance... WOW! (begin 70's porn music in background... Bow-Chicka-Bow-Bow) Mary's got a great rack. Enough said.

Okay so I know this post is boring and you could care less about my views and perspectives on strippers. What you really want to know is, do I get to have sex with them.

The answer is yes. I do. And I have. A lot. Not all, mind you, although I am always working to hit the 100% mark. Yes, sexual harassment is alive and well at Hard Core. Its just a matter of time, and I am a patient man.

Is it good to be the king? You bet your ass it is. Bow-Chicka-Bow-Bow!

Big Changes

Anyone that has been a regular to Hard Alley knows that I am constantly changing things, trying to keep it somewhat fresh. While there have been many changes to the Alley lately, the biggest change is that Ananisa and I are no longer married. Three weeks shy of our second anniversary I told Ana I wanted a divorce. I won't go into the reasons behind it here. I still love and respect Ana, and we remain close both in RL and SL, and she still runs the School and manages Hard Core.

With the help of several friends and trusted advisors, the other changes at Hard Alley have been showing some great results. Traffic is up and people are having sex again. My dancers are making great money in the club and having a good time. The School is packed and traffic is nearly 40K each day, up from 20K a month ago. I owe a lot of thanks to the people that have been helping and sharing their feelings and advice on how to make Hard Alley a better place.

I will be hard at work keeping things new and interesting... trying to keep it fun. If you read this, stop by the Alley and say "hi". Tell me what a great job I'm doing, or tell me I suck. Either way, it will be nice to know how you feel. :)

Oh yeah, no blog is worth reading unless it mentions just how awesome and amazing Mary Baphomet is. Mary is teh koolest. She really needs to let me have sex with her so I can share in the wonderment that is Mary. Hail Mary!

Its good to be the King

Its been almost two years since I created Hard Alley on my original 512m First Land. Over that two years, the Alley and the School Girls Gone Bad Detention Facility have given me the opportunity to make some great friends.

First, of course, is my lovely wife Ananisa, who is always by my side (... always... every minute of the day... day in, day out...) and has been instrumental in making the sites what they are today. The love I have for her extends beyond SL and having her in my life the last two years has been wonderful. Don't let her bitchy exterior fool you. She's a loving, caring person.

Then there are my SL "family" who have adopted Ana and I over time. Our three daughters, Prissy, Waterfalzz and Vanessa (and the daughter that Ana denies, Wercr), and Grandpa Veto. How the hell did we end up with this bunch? Love them all (even Veto, but strictly in a platonic sense. After all, I've seen him in a speedo and it ain't pretty).

My dancers are my extended family. Each and every one of them is special to me. Some have brought a lot of life to the Hard Core Strip Club, and have made it my favorite place to hang out. I don't mean to slight any of them, but some of the girls I have to give special mention to...

Mary Baphomet. I don't think anything I write here can do Mary justice (except maybe "For a good time, IM Mary Baphomet"). If you are lucky enough to know her, then you understand. There's only one Mary. Thank God.

Prissy Underall. One of our daughters and the dancer that has been with us the longest. She doesn't dance much anymore, but if she ever quits for good then Hard Core will be diminshed for it. My favorite little bunny.

Bree Figtree. Bree and controversy go hand in hand, but she shook the club up and gave it a lot of energy. I miss Bree. I think of her everytime a noob asks one of my dancers for sex. When they would ask her, she would reply, "Sure. Bend over and I'll get out my strap-on." LOL!

Fallon Claymore. Fallon is a powderkeg concealed in a petite kitty frame. Don't underestimate her. She loves my jokes. :)

Mina Hathaway. Mina was a club favorite and spent more time dancing than any dancer we had. She is a good friend and I miss seeing her and talking to her.

Zanara Zenovka. A true artist in every sense of the word. At times funny, at times sexy, at times bitchy, but at ALL times a Lady. She's contributed more than even she realizes to the success of the club, and I value her insight and talent almost as much as I value her friendship.

Megz Ling. Best DJ Hard Core has ever had. Megz brings an energy to Hard Core just by being there. She reminds me daily how fun this really is. Everyone loves Megz.

There are too many others to mention, but in future blogs I'll try to say a few words about the other people that have made my Second Life a better place to be.
